Questions about prenatal and postpartum massage
Can I have a massage while I'm pregnant?
Ask your doctor or midwife first, and tell us how far along you are when you book. They know your pregnancy; we follow what they say.
Do I lie on my stomach?
No. You lie on your side or half upright, held by pillows. We do not ask you to lie flat on your front or on your back.
How do you choose a position?
We start with how you feel that day, how far along you are and where you would like us to work. We change position whenever you ask, or whenever we see you stop being comfortable.
What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable. Undress only as far as you like; we work around whatever you keep on.
Am I covered the whole time?
Yes. A sheet and a blanket cover you, and only the part we are working on is uncovered.
Can my partner come in?
A partner may sit with you for the whole session if you would like. For a partner lesson, they join in.
When can I come after the birth?
When your doctor or midwife says it is all right. We ask you to check first, and we go at your pace.
Can I bring my baby?
A newborn is welcome at a postpartum visit. We keep a quiet corner and a chair, and your therapist stops when the baby needs you. Tell us when you book so we plan the room.
How do I set the pressure?
We ask before we start and check as we go. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer.
What if I'm not feeling well that day?
Call or text and we will move your visit. If something has changed with your pregnancy, check with your doctor or midwife before you come.
Are the therapists licensed?
Yes. All four hold a Utah massage therapist license.
Where do I park?
Behind the building on Main Street, with a side door beside the ramp.
Still have a question?
