For after the birth, at your pace
A slow visit, once your doctor or midwife says it is all right.
We keep a chair and a blanket in the room, and your therapist stops whenever the baby needs you. The back, shoulders and neck are where feeding and carrying collect, so most visits start there, in a supported position.
Sessions run 45 to 90 minutes, or 30 for a short visit. A newborn may stay with you. Ask your doctor or midwife when to begin, and tell us when you book.
At the visit
What we make room for
The baby
A quiet corner and a chair, so you can feed or hold your baby when you need to.
A supported position
Seated and leaning forward, or on your side with your back to us.
Your pace
Short or long, silent or talking. We follow you.
About postpartum visits
When can I come after the birth?
When your doctor or midwife says it is all right. We ask you to check first, and we go at your pace.
Can I bring my baby?
A newborn is welcome at a postpartum visit. We keep a quiet corner and a chair, and your therapist stops when the baby needs you. Tell us when you book so we plan the room.
What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable. Undress only as far as you like; we work around whatever you keep on.
